Poison
by S.B.
Player
made poison has two different effects. Poison made from a viper sac will
have an effect on the nervous system of your opponent. This means that if
hit by multiple poisoned blades, the poison will stack, regardless of
where you hit them. This is beneficial for light thrown users, in
particular. All
other poisonous ingredients will create a poison that acts locally. If you
hit the arm, the arm is poisoned. If you hit the neck, the poison does its
damage on the neck. This poison will only stack if you hit the same body
part twice, but can, depending on the circumstance, be much more useful
than a viper poison. Poison
is more effective against creatures than PC's. A hit of poison that would
do a great deal of damage to a PC, but not quite kill them, would kill a
creature of the same level as the PC nearly instantly. One
hit cleans the blade of poison. You have one chance to make it count.
Poison must be applied to arrows and bolts while on the bow, else it can
potentially be wiped off. If applied to a blade, the poison will stay
until you land a hit with it. It is commonly accepted amongst thieves that
you should use the poison fairly quickly after you have applied it, for
best results. Click
